Gaston Eysselinck, 1907-1953In the footsteps of Le Corbusier
The limited oeuvre of the Ghent architect Gaston Eysselinck belongs to the most compelling evidence of an innovative architecture in Belgium. During his studies he comes into contact with publications of the European avant-garde, the Russian architecture and the work of Le Corbusier. He builds his own home when he was barely 24 years old, commemorates the floor plan of the terraced house and the RTT/PTT building in Ostend is his masterpiece. The book includes drawings and photos never been published before. The photographer Filip Dujardin made superb shots of De Grote Post (19 photos) and the architect’s home in Ghent (13 photos).
