Eve Babitz was born in 1943 and grew up in Hollywood. After doing album covers for musicians such as Buffalo Springfield and The Byrds in the late 1960s, she began writing in 1972. An icon of the bohemian, rock and literary West Coast, she is the author of several collections of columns, essays, short stories and novels.
