The trio of the world’s most punk designer, her husband and the most disturbing photographer of her generation is without doubt one of the longest and most prolific collaborations in the fashion world. The campaigns created by Vivienne Westwood, Andreas Kronthaler and Juergen Teller are as disturbing as they are fascinating, not only because they reflect Westwood’s iconoclastic and punk vision to perfection, but also because the photographer’s trashy aesthetic is at its most extreme.

Last September, at the opening of the Vivienne Westwood boutique in New York, the infernal trio exhibited a large selection of archival photos, also collected in a book. A sort of crazy family album, the book features the designer couple accompanied by Pamela Anderson as an eco-muse, Kate Moss as an underground muse and models dressed entirely in Vivienne Westwood’s clothes in often subversive poses.
