Young TarasApocalypse Ready

Apocalypse Ready is a cleverly assembled collection of official guides to surviving various natural and man-made disasters. Drawn from the archives of various governments and published since 1910, these guides are presented here in four thematic chapters: pandemics, natural disasters, nuclear war and alien invasion. They include flyers on building homemade earthquake shelters, booklets on surviving a nuclear war, posters on preventing Spanish flu and documents to help identify aliens. Each of these documents outlines the different approaches governments have taken to warn their citizens. A commentary by author Taras Young recontextualises and explains these unpublished archives.
