Ronan Bouroullec, Erwan BouroullecBas-Reliefs
Since the early 2000s, the work of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec (born in 1971 and 1976 respectively) has been one of the most representative of the dynamism of French design. Working as a duo since 1998, the two brothers now design for many manufacturers (Vitra, Kvadrat, Issey Miyake, Cappellini…), while continuing their experimental research activity within the Galerie kreo. They have also worked on architectural projects for Camper, Issey Miyake, Kvadrat, etc.
Several monographic exhibitions have been devoted to them: Design Museum in London in 2002, Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, Boijmans van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam and La Piscine, Museum of Art and Industry in Roubaix in 2004, Villa Noailles, Hyeres in 2008, Grand Hornu, Belgium in 2009, a quadruple exhibition in Rennes in 2016… Their creations belong to the collections of institutions such as the Musée national d’art moderne – Centre Pompidou and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Design Museum in London and the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam.
