Paul Di Felice Carolin ForsterRomain Urhausen
First monograph in French devoted to the photography of the 1950s and 1960s by the Luxembourg artist Romain Urhausen. His work is distinguished by its singular style between the French humanist school and the German subjective school. Indeed, he was one of the most active representatives of the “Subjektive Fotografie” movement. The book contains graphic works, often captured using experimental techniques: high contrast, solarisation, tone reversal printing. The book also contains his photos of Les Halles, originally published in 1963 and accompanied by a text by Jacques Prévert.
