Didier Fiúza FaustinoArchitecture pour corps fragiles
For almost thirty years, Didier Fiúza Faustino has been working on the relationship between body and space in various artistic dimensions. From architecture to design, installations, experiments, videos and artworks in public space, the artist-architect’s work includes more than 270 projects on different scales. Some are architectural, others are purely artistic. But they are all characterised by their critical perspective on architecture, often revealing the limits of bodies in normative and restricted spaces.
“Architecture for Fragile Bodies” offers a comprehensive overview of the French-Portuguese conceptual architect. Through essays, texts by Faustino and richly illustrated explorations of a selection of 30 projects, the book examines unique creations that place the body at the centre of the architect’s concerns. It includes a complete catalogue of Didier Fiúza Faustino’s work.
