Joan Miró: L'essence des choses passées et présentes

Behind the seemingly childlike and innocent nature of Joan Miró’s work lies a deep connection with Catalan tradition and the art of the past.
From his artistic formation with his first works in Catalonia in 1910 to the influence of primitivism, Romanesque and Oriental art, the visitor will travel through a wide selection of Miró’s works (paintings, works on paper and sculptures) that span his entire career.
This exhibition is organised with the participation of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró (Palma de Mallorca) and the Fundació Joan Miró (Barcelona), with loans from numerous prestigious international public and private collections.
