Emilie HacheRECLAIM, Anthologie de textes écoféministes
“This book is a book of hope, a book about healing our wounds and believing in our own strength, in the courage to do things together, to change and transform everyday politics in a non-violent way. This book is about a global ecological sisterhood!
(Petra Kelly, foreword to Healing the Wounds: The Promise of Ecofeminism, 1989)
COP 21 has sparked a renewed interest in France in ecofeminism in activist circles. This movement, which began in the 1980s in Anglo-Saxon countries, was initiated by women who made the link between the exploitation of natural resources and the exploitation they suffered as women. This awareness gave rise to numerous actions and as many ecofeminist writings that are unknown in France.
This anthology, proposed by the philosopher Émilie Hache, allows us to discover the texts of the main figures of this movement, including Susan Griffin, Starhawk, Joanna Macy, Carolyn Merchant, some of which give the impression that they were written yesterday, even today, in reaction to the situation we are in.
