Paris Animal : histoire et récits d'une ville vivante
This book sets out to create an animal history of Paris with two main objectives. On the one hand, the aim is to make visible the role and place of animals in the history of the city, and to reveal that it is also cows, chickadees, wolves, weasels, falcons, giraffes, horses, pike and deer that have made the Paris of today. While animals have long been erased from or downplayed in the dominant narratives, the story we are telling attempts to shed light on what the presence of animals has generated in the capital.
