Atta Kwami
Richly illustrated, this first monograph devoted to this influential Ghanaian artist brings together important works from his four-decade career, up to the Serpentine Mural, created shortly before his death.
In 2021, Atta Kwami won the prestigious Maria Lassnig Prize in collaboration with Serpentine, associated with this first monograph on his work and the commission of a mural in the Serpentine North Garden. This work, on display between 2022 and 2024, is inspired by a painting that Kwami reworked in his studio in 2021, shortly before his death.
