The book is divided into two sections, “Materials and Surfaces” and “Building Construction and Building Elements”. The first section provides an overview of the various building materials used in landscape architecture and their specific characteristics. The second section begins with an introductory chapter explaining the principles of statics, the connections of load-bearing elements and the different approaches to anchoring building elements and supporting structures. Each chapter concludes with a collection of project examples, illustrated with photographs and engineering drawings.
