Couleur et soin
Born from a collaboration between a few hospitals, art and design schools, social science researchers and design agencies, this book focuses on the notion of care, a concept derived from American feminist philosophy. More specifically, this book proposes to explore the place of colour in the notion of care. It begins with an overview of the history of colour in hospitals and then presents the story of recent projects in the hospital environment. It also includes research by a floor and wall covering manufacturer on the issue of old age and the fundamental place of colour in rituals Māori. It is the presentation of a plea for a better consideration of the effects of colour on our feelings and behaviours thanks to the experiments carried out and the theoretical knowledge gathered in this book.
