En 1981, Beatriz Gonzaléz (1938, Bucamanga, Colombie) réalise Mural Para Fabrica Socialista, son interprétation de Guernica de Picasso. Au cours de sa production d’un an, Gonzaléz a documenté son travail quotidien, ses recherches, son processus créatif et ses réflexions occasionnelles. Diary of Guernica, Diary of a senseless work présente son journal manuscrit, une transcription en espagnol et sa traduction en anglais.
