This book of drawings by Nigel Peake features a series of pictures of plants, accompanied by a poem that progresses with each turn of the page. The title of the collection, “Kawarigoma”, is a Japanese word that refers to the visual phenomenon that causes colours to turn white while rotating at high speed. Peake prefers to work in series, because he feels the true meaning of the project reveals itself in the process of creating his drawings.
