Nicolas DaubanesA bout touchant
This first monograph by Nicolas Daubanes will present the artist’s significant works since 2010 as well as his most important exhibitions since 2017. It will also seek to show the artist’s way of working, which has been taking shape since his solo exhibition Le Batiman et a nou at La Station in Nice in 2017. The revolt, the release of the constraint, the search for a space of freedom are at the very heart of the artist’s purpose.
This monograph is illustrated with a rich iconographic corpus (around 200 photographs) composed of views of in situ installations and works. It will also be accompanied by a set of texts whose authors have been chosen according to their field of expertise, whether sociological, philosophical, historical or artistic:
Florian Gaité, doctor of philosophy and art critic, Valentine Umansky, curator at the Tate Modern, Marion Fontaine, historian and author, Paul de Sorbier, director of the Maison Salvan art centre, Céline Ghisleri, director of the association Voyons Voir.
