De la caserne aux logements Reuilly Paris 12e
After seven years of studies and construction, the Reuilly barracks (Paris 12), a former royal mirror factory created by Louis XIV and occupied by the Army from 1830 onwards, has been completely transformed and redeveloped to accommodate nearly 600 rental units – 50% social, 20% intermediate and 30% free -, a day care center, artists’ studios and shops organized around a public garden open to the neighborhood.
This book presents and shares this concentration of know-how that combines the enhancement of heritage, technicality, ecology, innovation and concerted methods. With the project management teams and the residents, Paris Habitat has developed an ambitious urban project that this book recounts by giving a voice to its main players.
