Over a career spanning more than 50 years, Ellsworth Kelly created some 400 collage postcards, some of which served as studies for works in other media or in larger formats. This book presents these cards, from the first monochrome ones of 1949 to those of 2005 representing seascapes. It thus allows us to discover a lesser known and more experimental facet of the American artist’s work.
