Eugène Leroy (1910-2000) is the most outdated French painter there is. His painting loaded with materials, almost sculptural, difficult to see, neither figurative nor abstract, definitively apart and solitary, does not produce images to be consumed but requires a long stasis to discover all the dazzles. It is a dialogue, full of humility and fervor, that the painter establishes with painting and reality.
