I feel really awake

In collaboration with the Museum of Ixelles, the Maison du Peuple of Saint-Gilles hosted the exhibition “I feel really awake”, whose catalog follows. On the occasion of the Artists’ Journey, a new exhibition offers a dialogue between the permanent collections of the Municipal Museum of Ixelles and 11 contemporary Brussels artists.
Each of these women artists offers a cross reading with a work from the Museum’s collections representing a portrait of a woman. A sorority trip, towards a horizon of multiple readings, with a single intention on board: to open a space of freedom, to take the tangent and to leave the expected itinerary.
