In 2019, Jérémie Fischer was invited to attend the creation of the show “Octobre à Saint-Denis” (October in Saint-Denis), conceived by the choreographer Maguy Marin in collaboration with the Gérard Philipe theatre in Saint-Denis. This creative work, carried out with a troupe of amateurs of all ages and origins, mixes testimonies, poetry and dance in order to question our representations of otherness and universalism.
In his book “Farandole”, Jérémie Fischer presents a graphic extension of this experience by associating photography, frames and collages to revisit the languages of each person, the fears, the joys and the hopes that appeared during this time of encounter and discovery.
