Mute, black, metaphorical, with a graphic style that will surprise its fans, this Autobiographical Diary in Comics helped Benoît Jacques to go through a particularly difficult personal period. “L” is “she” or “them”, it is the number 50 which corresponds to the age of the Author during this period, and it is the right angle that his life took. We are far from a light autobiography here: for reasons of modesty, the events are evoked by an encryption that thwarts all voyeurism and leads to a symbolism of the unconscious that is as surreal as it is universal.
