“LSD is the biannual review of Signe – Centre national du graphisme.
Issue 2 opens on the history of art and graphic design with a text by Catherine Guiral, the question of “free” fonts studied by Frank Adebiaye, but also publishes an essay on the research in the French language of the practices of so-called inclusive, non-binary, post-binary or genderfuck typography, by Caroline? Dath ° Camille?Circlude. Opening this second issue of Le Signe Design on the typographic question on the pretext of the exhibition dedicated to the work of Jean-François Rey was an obvious choice.
It allows us to linger calmly, and in a broad and related manner, on a number of questions relating to use, destination, experimentation, mediation, mediatisation, research and development, the historicised construction – artificial, naive or deceptive – of milestones, and the irruption of politics.”
