Lucas, a thirty-year-old lifeguard who has been estranged from his mother for almost ten years, sees his quiet life suddenly disrupted by the arrival of Billie, an exuberant young woman, who tells him that his mother is seriously ill. This encounter will provoke an inner conflict in Lucas, between the absent son who no longer wants to see his mother (until now) and the one who remains – despite everything – attached to her.
