As part of a research on the history of temporary exhibitions since 1945 in France, this book is the result of interviews conducted with 38 curators between 2014 and 2017. The aim of these testimonies is not to impose a global vision of exhibitions or the role of curators, but rather to form an initial corpus that highlights the links between the various paths and practices. The temporary exhibitions are anchored in the societal context that surrounds them, they are a way of looking at things, of constructing the world, of expressing a message, of offering an interpretation, a look.
