Pierrette BlochTextes critiques et entretiens
“Pierrette Bloch’s work began to be known to the general public in the early 2000s through exhibitions at the Centre Pompidou in Vevey (Switzerland) at the Karsten Greve gallery (Paris/Cologne). His career as an artist, however, began in the early 1950s and continued in a discreet manner, through various techniques – collage, textile, horsehair, graphic signs close to a writing to find in series of black punctuations on a white or white background on a black background (which she ironically referred to as “peas”) the “language” to which it was identified.
This book is based on a selection of critical texts that have been devoted to the works of Pierrette Bloch throughout his career. This book is an unpublished collection to date of some sixty texts accompanied by an index of names and a general bibliography.”
