Elodie ShantaRésine
Claudin returns home distraught: his wife Résine is accused of being a witch. They flee and start a new life in the village of Floriboule, but their arrival causes many problems: unfounded accusations, witchcraft trials, confrontation with villagers as sexist as they are obscurantist. Resin, Claudin and their allies (the apothecary and his companion, the baker Amarante and the goblin Scorbul) try to restore justice and escape the stake. In this fantasticoabsurd little comic, Elodie Shanta tackles subjects much more current than it seems, including exclusion, sexism, prejudice, xenophobia. An all-public reading, with the bonus of magic, medieval atmosphere, and jokes, a story in which the characters are benevolent towards each other and where welcome notions such as mutual aid, care, sorority and acceptance are solutions.
