Stanislas Jasinski - Parcours d’architectes

35 EUROS

The “Parcours d’architectes à Bruxelles” collection will consist of a series of books dealing monographically with the work of architects who left their mark on the built landscape of Brussels after the First World War. The series will showcase architects whose work is little known to the general public, but whose intimate relationship with Brussels makes them well worth discovering. Each volume highlights a singular career path, both literally and figuratively, revealing the built heritage and certain little-known and less-studied facets of Brussels’ urban history.

The first volume presents the career of Stanislas Jasinski (1901-1978), from the 1920s to 1970. He was the author of numerous projects, particularly in the Brussels region. His work reinterprets Brussels through the theme of the apartment block as a typology of the city’s evolution. Most of his work is well-preserved and visible in public spaces. In addition to his architectural output, Jasinski left us many important articles and texts, testifying to his lifelong commitment to the debate on architecture and urban planning. Stanislas Jansinski’s career is definitely worth discovering and appreciating.

The book is also available in English and Dutch.
