Through imagining a future outside the neocolonial frameworks in Europe, the activists, artists and scholars of colour brought together by this book explore a variety of critical spaces such as motherhood, relationships, activism, community, literature, dance and film.
The 22 articles published in this edition discuss how Black women and other women of colour from across Europe theorise Black feminism and Afrofeminism, how they build and sustain activist spaces for survival and resistance, how they challenge and transform hegemonic politics, develop transnational alliances, and engage with creative practice as a means of activism and self-preservation.
