Un beau voyage

Beber and the Captain are stranded. Windless, currentless, their ship motionless, they patiently wait for things to happen, so the Captain recounts. He tells about his past adventures, the tumult of life, he shares his knowledge. So the trips begin … This story echoes our own year of immobility and confinement, a year in which we had to reinvent ourselves without the usual levers of life. Beber and the Captain are stuck at one point, but despite this they manage, through metaphysical narratives, to live and feel. The minimalist drawing which borders on the abstraction of Delphine Panique adds a layer of softness in this story, which is divided into small strips, but very continual, simplifies the reading even more. Sit back and let yourself be carried away by the gossips of an old sea bass.
