Meeting withDominique Goblet, Elene Usdin & Aurélie Wilmet
3 women illustrators at Peinture Fraîche, in collaboration with Picture Festival.
3 illustrators of wide open spaces, landscapes and the thirst for freedom.
Thursday 24 March from 6pm to 9pm.
Dominique Goblet, who in December published the book Ostend (Fremok) and in January the Carnets d’Ostende, two diaries of a solitude increased by the sea, will inaugurate his artist’s showcase.
Elene Usdin and Aurélie Wilmet will bring to the Peinture Fraîche storefront their Canadian impressions in boxes unbridled by colour, escaped from the exhibition “Inuit. A Graphic Journey to the Great North” presented at the Art & History Museum as part of the Picture Festival.
The first published René-e aux Bois dormants in 2021, which recalls the round-ups of Native American children in the 1960s.
The latter has just returned from a three-month stay in Quebec City, from which she drew inspiration for a forthcoming comic book, like the acclaimed Rorbuer, published by Super Loto Éditions.
