The Peinture Fraîche team is delighted to invite you
to the release of Bernadette Mergaerts’s new book,
on Thursday 24 June 2021 from 6 to 9 pm.

Flisvos is a Greek word meaning “the soft sound of a small wave gently hitting the shore”. When visiting the Greek island of Corfu in the winter of 2015, Bernadette Mergaerts (BE) noticed that, in spite of the cold weather, many people were swimming at various places along the shoreline of the capital city, Kerkyra. She was impressed that the bathers — all adults, some of them retired — seemed to find peace in the Ionian sea.

to the release of Hugues de Wurstemberger’s new book,
on Thursday 10 June 2021 from 6 to 9 pm.

Each year, the association CéTàVOIR invites, within the framework of the ImageSingulières festival, a photographer in residence in Sète and around the Bassin de Thau. An immersion in the territory for four to six weeks, where the selected artist has carte blanche to produce a work on the territory and its inhabitants. The Swiss photographer Hugues de Wurstemberger has been chosen to carry out the 14th residence in 2021.

for the launch of Tim Colmant new book
on the June 3, 2021 from 6pm to 9pm.

« Exercices de dessin » is an ongoing series of drawings by Tim Colmant, in which he uses rules, tools or handicaps to create new aesthetics and ways of drawing, aiming to find meanings in explorations, errors and serendipity. Exercices de dessin 01 is a selection of 250 drawings from 2016 to 2018, only made by using pencils and business cards as rulers. Edition of 200 copies.
