Tusitala editions celebrate their 10th anniversary!
The Peinture Fraîche team is happy to invite you to the 10th anniversary of the Tusitala editions, on Saturday, May 20th from 2pm, at 39 rue Lesbroussart. On the menu, meetings and signing sessions with the authors Richard Krawiec, Martin Mongin and Alex Ratcharge, and the translator Romain Guillou.
TUSITALA is a publishing house based between Paris and Brussels that has been publishing French-language literature, both foreign and French, since spring 2013. If the house borrows its name from Robert Louis Stevenson, but also from a spider, it is because, with thirty published works, Carmela Chergui and Mickaël Demets consider publishing as the highlighting of a vast network, political, poetic and tangible, and especially international. Thus, the care brought to the translation and to the graphic aspect of the books is one of the trademarks of Tusitala, beside of course a talent to unearth texts with a rare acuity.
Peinture Fraîche is proud to be a partner of this anniversary, and will welcome, the day after an evening of celebrations at the bar La Perle in Laeken, 3 authors and a translator: Richard Krawiec, faithful since the beginning with his 4 translated books; Martin Mongin, author of the acclaimed political novel “Francis Rissin”, first unpublished book published Tusitala, and of the dazzling “The Chomor”; Ratcharge, who is behind the very punk “Shortcut to Nowhere” and Romain Guillou, translator of Oscar Zeta Acosta, Larry Fondation and Piri Thomas’s “Streets of the Barrio” published last January.
An afternoon of meetings and signings at 39 rue Lesbroussart to celebrate the entry of our editors into the age of reason!
